Quezon City Suspends Elementary, HS On July 22, 2013 For SONA

There will be no classes in elementary and high school in Quezon City on Monday, July 22, 2013, the date when President Benigno Aquino III delivers his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa.

The announcement was made by the Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office (PCDSPO)Thursday afternoon on its official Twitter account.

"#walangpasok • QUEZON CITY has suspended JULY 22 (MONDAY) classes in public & private schools, from elementary to high school. #SONA2013," PCDSPO tweeted.

It will be the school administrators and the Commission on Higher Education's discretion whether to suspend college and university classes on the said day or not, the local government reportedly said.
