Patti Austin, Lea Salonga Share 'The Voice Philippines' Stage In Show-Stopping Duet

Patti Austin and Lea Salonga performed a show-stopping duet during the live episode of "The Voice of the Philippines" on Sunday, eliciting cheers from the live audience and netizens on social media.

Salonga sang Austin’s hit “I Believe” with some the contestants of the show before calling on stage Austin, who joined and sang with her Austin’s song “In My Life.” 

Many netizens deemed the rare performance world-class, and were touched by Austin’s comment that “the greatest singers around the world tend to be from the Philippines.”

The duet also became a trending topic, with the hashtag #LeaPattiHeartAndSoulOnTheVoicePH landing on the most talked about topics worldwide.

The American Grammy-winning jazz artist is currently in the country for a series of concerts in and outside Manila.
